A warm welcome to eighth grade to all my wonderful students and their families.. We have got off to a great start. We have three new students, all of whom are boys. This happens to be fortuitous since the boys were greatly outnumbered before. So, welcome to Michael, Raul and Royalle and their families. it's never easy to join a school in eighth grade but they are all doing a wonderful job in ironing out any difficulties.
As you all know, this is a very full and busy year and since it is now split into trimesters I do not get to visit with you until December. Please know I am always available to you and you can reach me on the number I gave you at Back to School Night or at abrown@saintanneschool.com. Please call me with any questions or concerns.
Please know that I will keep you informed as we move along in the high school placement process and graduation process. The students who are contemplating Catholic high school are already attending preparation classes at Loyola on Saturdays and I will be conducting preparation classes after school throughout January so that they are ready for when they take the test at the high school of their choice at the end of January.
We have a few field trips coming up and these are the dates:
November 5 Skirball Center
November 10 Saint Monica High School play
January 11 Museum of Tolerance.
You are all welcome to come along and chaperone but let me know ahead of time because there are only a few places available.
I am enjoying our year very much so far. Everyone is working hard and helping to lead the school. I will keep you updated as we move into 2011. Thank you for al your support.
God bless you for all you give for your children,
Anna brown
